Characteristics
Model Color is the widest range of acrylic paints for modeling. The colours have been selected according to the criteria of the best artists of the International Model Making. All colors are also identified with their Federal Standard, Ral and RLM references. Modelcolor colors are formulated with permanent fine art pigments in a vinyl acrylic resin dispersion and offer high hiding power and excellent light fastness. All colours (with the exception of transparent and fluorescent colours) dry opaque, with a matt and uniform finish. The consistency of Modelcolor facilitates a smooth application, without brush strokes. For the application of multiple thin coats and glazes the paint can be mixed with water or Acrylic Medium. Its water-based formula results in a product that is not toxic, harmful, or flammable. Errors can be corrected immediately with water or a little alcohol. The drying time of Modelcolor depends on the temperature and humidity of the environment. Although the paint dries to the touch in minutes, its water content continues to evaporate, and the paint does not become permanently resistant until a few weeks after application. Once the paint is dry, it is waterproof and permanent. The presentation of the product in plastic bottles with dropper better preserves the product.
