History
Where the German greatcoat of early WWII had a dark green short collar, the later uniform featured a wider collar for added warmth. Like the rest of the coat, it was field grey in color. The greatcoat was primarily made of wool, howewer, es the war progressed, more and more rayon was substitued for wool due to ecocnomic reasons.
